AiM, a Car Concierge Pro product

The process

4 steps. You spend about ten minutes on the whole thing.

We re-price the insurance you already hold. Here is exactly what happens between the moment you send a declarations page and the moment your premium changes -- including the parts where nothing is asked of you, and the part where we tell you there is nothing to save.

First response within 24 hours · $0 if we find no savings
  1. You send one declarations page

About five minutes · You: reply to one email with one PDF

A declarations page is the one-page summary your carrier mails or emails you at every renewal. It lists the vehicles, the property or the vessel, the coverages, the limits, the deductibles and the premium. It is the only document we need to start, and you already have it.

Send the request form, then reply to the confirmation email with the page attached. There is no upload widget, no portal login and no questionnaire. If you cannot find the document, your carrier will resend it, or you can call us and we will tell you what to ask for.

  2. We price the same coverage against 50+ carriers

Two to three days · You: nothing

The comparison is run at identical limits and deductibles to the policy you already hold. That constraint is the whole point: a lower number produced by quietly cutting your liability limit or doubling your deductible is not a saving, it is a transfer of risk onto you, and it is the most common way a cheaper quote is manufactured.

We also read the policy for rating errors -- a vehicle still garaged at an old address, a mileage band that no longer matches how you drive, a discount you qualify for and were never given, a driver listed who moved out two years ago. Correcting one of those changes the price without changing a single term of your coverage.

  3. You get a one-page comparison

The same week · You: read one page

What you pay now, beside what the market will write the same coverage for, line by line. Coverage differences are called out where they exist, because a comparison that hides them is worthless.

If we cannot beat your premium, the report says exactly that and you owe nothing. That is not a courtesy -- it is most of the value of the exercise. Knowing your policy is already priced correctly is a real answer, and it is the one nobody selling you a policy has any reason to give you.

  4. You decide: renegotiate, or move

When you are ready · You: sign; we do the rest

We take the market result back to your current carrier first, because retention departments usually discount rather than lose a policy. If another carrier genuinely beats them on identical coverage, we show you both prices side by side and you decide.

If you move, we prepare the forms, line the effective dates up so there is never a gap where you are uninsured, and chase any refund owed on the policy you are leaving. If you stay, the new price is applied to the policy you already have and nothing else about it changes.

What we are, and what we are not

AiM is an independent negotiation service, and a product of Car Concierge Pro. That is a narrower job than the words “insurance company” suggest, and the boundary matters when you are deciding whether to send us anything.

  • We are not a carrier. We do not underwrite or issue policies, and we never become a party to your contract. Your policy stays between you and your insurer.
  • We are not a comparison marketplace. A marketplace hands you a list of quotes and takes a placement commission for the click. We start from the policy you already hold and take the market result back to the carrier you already have.
  • We do not touch your money. Premium is paid by you, directly to your carrier. Our fee is billed separately and never deducted from a premium.
  • We are not affiliated with any carrier. No appointments, no endorsements, no quota to fill with anyone's product. Carrier names appear on this site only to describe the coverage being discussed.

What it costs

The fee model is the reason step three can be an honest answer: if we find nothing, we are not paid, so there is no version of this where we talk you into a change that does not help you.

What it costs

25%
25% of first-year savingsCharged once, on what we actually save you in year one.
$149
$149 flat fee for new-policy placementOnly where there is no existing premium to negotiate against — a first car, a newly closed home, a newly bought boat.
$0
$0 if we find no savingsNo retainer, no consultation fee, nothing to cancel.

The full pricing page works through the arithmetic with a example, covers when the fee is owed, and answers what happens if the saving turns out to be small.

The honest version of the timeline

Where it can take longer

Marine runs longer than auto. Fewer carriers write hull and liability at all, and above roughly 65 feet an underwriter will normally want a current survey date and your navigation limits before quoting anything — which is why the yacht page asks for those up front. Starting a policy mid-term rather than at renewal can also add time, because some carriers will not re-rate until the renewal window opens. Three to four weeks before your renewal date is the comfortable start.

Where it can end at step three

Two things end the process with a report and no fee. One is a policy that is already priced correctly for your profile. The other is a policy whose price is driven by something no negotiation moves — a recent at-fault claim still inside the carrier's rating window, or a license issue. Neither is a failure of the review; both are the review doing its job, and in both cases you owe nothing.

The one thing to remember

Nothing on your policy changes without your explicit approval. Not the carrier, not the limits, not the effective date. The comparison is information; the decision is yours.

Questions people ask before starting

What do you actually need from me?

The declarations page of the policy you hold, and an answer to two questions: what you pay now, and when it renews. Nothing else is required to start. We will ask follow-up questions only where the answer changes the price.

Do I have to switch carriers?

No. We take the market result back to your current carrier first, because retention departments usually discount rather than lose a policy. If another carrier genuinely beats them on identical coverage, we show you both prices side by side and you decide.

What does it cost?

25% of first-year savings · $149 flat fee for new-policy placement · $0 if we find no savings. The review and the negotiation are free, no card is required to start, and the fee is only owed once you accept a result we negotiated.

How long does the whole thing take?

A first response within 24 hours, the market comparison in two to three days, and the written result in the same week. The part that takes your time is step one, and it is about five minutes.

My renewal is months away. Is it too early to start?

No, and early is usually better. Many carriers price an advance quote more favorably than a same-week one, and starting three to four weeks before your renewal date leaves room to correct rating errors and negotiate rather than scramble. If your renewal is next week, call instead of using the form.

What can you not do?

We do not underwrite or issue policies, we are not a party to your contract with your carrier, and we do not handle claims. We also cannot negotiate a policy that does not exist yet: placing brand-new coverage is a different piece of work, charged as a flat fee, because there is no prior premium to measure a saving against.

Start at step one.

Send the form, reply to the confirmation email with your declarations page, and we will come back within 24 hours. If we cannot beat your premium, we will say so.
